Through Psych 180, Syeda provides medical care and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders, medical marijuana evaluations, and ketamine treatments for depression. Her focus on whole-person, patient-centered care reflects her commitment to empowering individuals to achieve balance, recovery, and overall well-being.

Dr. Robert Baer is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 38 years of experience providing compassionate, effective mental health care. He is known for his thoughtful, steady approach and his ability to create a welcoming environment where clients feel supported and understood. Dr. Baer earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He completed his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri, with specialized training in marital and family therapy. He works with adolescents and adults, as well as couples, and treats a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Dr. Baer takes a personalized, collaborative approach to therapy, helping clients identify strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Baer has extensive experience providing disaster mental health services to communities affected by natural and human-made crises, reflecting his longstanding commitment to service and resilience. As part of the Psych 180 team, Dr. Baer contributes to an integrated psychologist-psychiatry practice that emphasizes whole-person, collaborative care.
